Technology Committee

The purpose of this work group is to review technology available externally in the township and to develop a strategy to meet the Canton Township Board of Trustees goals and objectives as a smart sustainable township.  This will also coincide with the Michigan Avenue Mobility Corridor and the Ford Road boulevard.  

This group will meet at a minimum of monthly until the strategy is developed.  It will then be determined as to the frequency of subsequent meetings.

24-HOUR APP-A-THON

Come up with an app designed to help our your neighbors. Whether it is every day assistance, our help with an emergency situation, the app should include how to find the right volunteers and how they may get trained and certified, as well as a way to make sure volunteers are safe when they go to assist.  

The project can be started no earlier than the beginning of the app-a-thon, and must be completed one hour before judging. Happy Inventing!

SCHEDULE

January 6 
- 10 am: Arrive at app-a-thon and form teams by noon 
-  Noon: Kick off 

January 7 
- Noon: Judging - 5 minutes per team presenting their projects
-  1 pm: Final results
