This great day of fun, fitness, and friendship, sponsored by HealthQuest, is the perfect way to get seniors ready for the summer season.  Registration fees are $7 for Summit Members; $8 for Canton Residents; and $10 for Non-Residents. Fee includes boxed lunch, workshops and participant bag.

Morning workshops starting at 10:30 a.m. include: Intro to Beginner Yoga, Fall Prevention 101, and Safe While Out and About.  Afternoon workshops starting at 12:45 p.m. include: Intro to Lyrical Dancing; Cooking with Chef Kristi; and Custom Coasters Make & take workshop.  This informative and enjoyable day of events culminates with an Intro to Fitness Gold at 2 p.m. featuring fitness moves for strength, balance, and cardiovascular endurance.  Participants interested in attending Canton’s National Senior Health and Fitness Day must register by Monday, May 29, 2017 by calling the Canton Club 55+ front desk at 734/394-5485.

More than 1,000 organizations in all 50 states will recognize this day in an effort to help keep older Americans healthy and fit.  Continually set for the last Wednesday in May, National Senior Health & Fitness Day is the nation’s largest annual health promotion event for older adults and celebrates the importance of staying healthy at all ages.
