PUBLIC NOTICE
SRB Servicing, LLC, 249 Mack Bayou Loop, Suite 302, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459, requests modification to a conservation easement held by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) associated with MDEQ Permit Number 05-82-0227-P. The conservation easement was conveyed for permitted impacts associated with a residential development that was not completed. The permit has since expired. The proposed modification request is to reconfigure the 13.27-acre MDEQ conservation easement to allow the requestor to apply for a wetland permit to complete the development of multifamily housing. Modification will remove a total of 2.36 acres of land (upland wetland mix) from the conservation easement, reconfigure the areas under easement to eliminate detention basins within the boundaries of the easement, restore 1.33 acres of emergent wetland adjacent to the drain within the easement boundaries, and continue preservation of the remaining 10.91 acres. The requestor also proposes to convey to the MDEQ as mitigation for anticipated impacts, a conservation easement over a 14.68-acre property consisting of 9.95 acres of high quality Southern Hardwood Swamp, 1.22 acres of wet meadow wetlands, and 3.51 acres of upland, in a site located near the development site. The proposed off site preservation will include a long term management plan to treat invasive species along with an adaptive management plan to protect the site in perpetuity. The offsite property is owned by BW East LLC, 249 Mack Bayou Loop, Suite 302, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. The project is located in Town 02 South,
R 08 East, Section 13, Canton Township, Wayne County, Michigan, in accordance with plans attached to this notice.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A PERMIT
The proposed project may also be regulated by one or more additional parts of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (NREPA), that are administered by the Water Resources Division (WRD). The requirements of applicable parts are considered in determining if it is in the public interest to issue a permit.
When a proposal to modify a MDEQ-held conservation easement is received requesting authorization to work in wetlands and integral habitat protected by a conservation easement granted to the State of Michigan, pursuant to Part 303, Wetlands Protection, of the NREPA, Modification of Easement Procedures, Admin-00-01, require that the MDEQ submit copies for review to the city/village/township and county where the project is to be located, the local soil conservation district, and adjacent property owners. Additional notification is provided to certain persons as required by statute or determined by the MDEQ.
Those persons wanting to make comments on the proposed project shall furnish this office with their written comments no later than June 12, 2018. Written comments will be made part of the
record and should reference the above file number. Objections must be factual, specific, and fully describe the reasons upon which any objection is founded. Send public comments to:

decision-maker.
