[ARCHIVED] Canton’s Trick or Treat Parade Returns to the Summit on the Park

Little super heroes, wonder women, and other ghouls and goblins are invited to Canton Leisure Services annual Trick or Treat Parade on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 5 – 8 p.m., which will be held inside the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway, in Canton, MI.

Children of all ages are encouraged to attend this family-friendly event in costume and follow the not-so-scary trail from room to room, each filled with special surprises and little goodies. Parade participants will enjoy seeing the Summit all decked out for this spooktacular event. Younger trick-or-treaters will enjoy the trail, as it passes a variety of themed-stations which will allow them to visit with family-friendly characters, including: Mary Poppins; The Incredibles; Alice In Wonderland; Winnie the Pooh; Wizard of Oz; plus some of your favorite Disney villains.  For those who dare, a spooky Haunted House will be available in the Summit’s Gymnasium, that is scarier than ever. Please note that this interactive experience may be too intense for small children.

Tickets will only be sold in advance of the event now through October 25, 2018 for $6 per child for Summit on the Park Members, $7 per child for Canton Residents and $11 per child for Non-Residents. A limited amount of Fast Pass tickets for designated timeslots will be available for an additional $1 fee at the Summit Front Desk, located at 46000 Summit Parkway; while supplies last. Please note that all ticket sales will end October 25 at 10 p.m. Kids of all ages planning to trick or treat and collect goodies during the event must have a ticket/collection bag. Proof of residency will be required to purchase tickets and there is a 10-ticket limit per person.

“Each year Canton’s Trick or Treat Parade continues to grow and remains one of the most popular events that we host,” said Jennifer Girard, Recreation Specialist for Canton Leisure Services. “We are so proud of this great family event that is perfect for children of all ages. There’s even a 'spookier experience' for the older kids inside our special Haunted House, where they’ll have plenty of chances for chills and thrills if they dare to stroll through our gymnasium."

This year’s sponsors include: Atchinson Ford, Central City Dance, Community Financial Credit Union, Drs. Nolan and Guest Orthodontics, The Goddard School of Early Childhood Development, Rainbow Child Care Center of Canton, Today’s Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry; and Zap Zone Canton.  This year’s trick or treat bag is sponsored by TIAA Bank. Additional supporters of this annual Canton tradition include Dancin’ Feet and D&M Art Studio.
