[ARCHIVED] Suspected driver charged in pedestrian hit and run



 

December 19, 2018, Canton, MI – Yesterday, Dearborn resident Zeina Diab Elhage, age 64, was arraigned in 35th District Court on a warrant approved by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office for:

  
  • One count of Failure to Stop at the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, a one-year misdemeanor
  • One count of Failure to Report an Accident, a 90-day misdemeanor
 

Judge Mike Gerou set a personal bond for Elhange, and she is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on January 11, 2019.

Original Release - Police seeking information on driver involved in a pedestrian hit & run

 

December 6, 2018, Canton, MI – Police officers are looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck a 15-year old bicyclist on Canton Center Road, south of Palmer Road, yesterday at approximately 5:26 p.m.

The driver of the southbound vehicle fled the scene following the crash, but is believed to have been in a 2015-16 Magnetic Gray Ford Edge (see stock photo attached).  The vehicle should have damage to the passenger side, with the outside mirror being broken off.

The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
