October 13, 2021, Canton, MI – Following a year-long pilot program, the Canton Public Safety Department announces its Records Bureau hours of operation are officially changing to four 10-hour days.
The Records Bureau’s hours will be:
Monday–Thursday: 8 am – 6 pm
The schedule will allow for extended-day access to the public. The Records Bureau is available for processing requests of police reports, Freedom of Information Act requests, applicant fingerprinting, and notarizing of handgun purchase permits. Note: fingerprinting and purchase permit applicants must arrive 30 minutes prior to closing time.
Individuals claiming property will need to schedule an appointment with the Property Clerk directly 734/394-5432, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
