May 13, 2015, Canton, MI – The Canton Police Department has scheduled the following Coffee with a Cop session:
•Friday, June 5, from 10 a.m. – noon, at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, 42550 Executive Drive (Note: Kids will be permitted to jump during event for $5, staff supervision provided)
These on-going sessions are open to the public and provide a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in Canton’s neighborhoods and business districts. The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or stressful situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for relaxed one-on-one interaction.
The Canton Police Department is holding multiple sessions throughout the community this year. If you have a business or organization interested in hosting a 2-hour session of Coffee with a Cop, please contact the police department at 734/394-5401.
Requirements to host a 2-hour session of Coffee with a Cop include:
• Canton location
• Open to the public
• Coffee is provided for attendees
