Plenty of family-friendly activities are scheduled to take place in The BLOCK parking lot, located behind the Canton Administration Building (the building’s west side).
The evening festivities will include: refreshments, prizes, basketball and Dodge ball games, and a bonfire with S’mores. Plus, a DJ will be onsite providing Karaoke opportunities. Party-goers are encouraged to tour the Teen Center and check out all of its amenities, including: foosball, video games, computer lab with internet, The BLOCK café, lounge, quiet study room, pool table, and more! "We're excited to host another outdoor 'BLOCK Party,' which will feature an evening of fun activities for the entire family," said Laura Mortier, Recreation Specialist. "Plus, we'll be opening up our Teen Center for tours, where will have activities inside, as well.”
Light refreshments will also be served, including pizza, pop, chips and veggies. This event is free and open to the public. Teens, their families and anyone interested in learning more about The BLOCK are encouraged to attend. Overflow parking will be located at the Canton Public Library lot. If inclement weather is possible, participants are asked to call 734/398-5570 to confirm if event will be held.
The BLOCK Youth and Teen Center, located on the third floor of the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road, provides a fun, teen-friendly environment where students from ages 11-17 can participant in supervised afterschool programs, social events, and activities.
