The free health series, which will be held on various Mondays from November through February, is presented by St. Joseph Mercy Health Center, Canton and St. Mary Mercy Hospital, Livonia.
Dr. Egle and Associates will be presenting various topics regarding senior health issues, including; Eating Healthy on Monday, November 17, 2014; Avoiding the Winter Blues on Monday, December 15, 2014; Diabetes on Monday, January 26, 2015; and Heart Health on Monday, February 23, 2015. Each class will be offered from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
The classes are being offered free of charge and will take place in the Professional Development Center (PDC) Room at the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway in Canton, MI. Advance registration is required and can be done at the Club 55+ Front Desk, or by calling 734/394-5485.
Canton Club 55+ Senior Center, located at 46000 Summit Parkway, is a premier destination for area seniors, which provides year-round social, recreational, and educational activities and also serves as an information resource for those 55 and older. Operated by Canton Township, this active center offers a wide variety of programs, trips and special events, activities and classes for free or at low-cost. Through the Senior Alliance, Canton's Senior Center also plays an advocacy role for seniors at the local, state and federal level.
