November 4, 2014, Canton, MI – Yesterday Jeramy Harrison Matthews of Ann Arbor, was arraigned in 35th District Court on the following charges stemming from a theft of cash reported by Matthews, as manager of a Halloween City store located in Canton.
1) Embezzlement, a 5-year felony
2) Larceny from a Building, a 4-year felony
3) Filing a False Police Report, a 4-year felony
Matthews initially reported being robbed at knifepoint while transporting a cash bank deposit belonging to the store he was working for.
Judge Ronald Lowe set Matthews bond at $10,000 cash or 10%. His preliminary exam is scheduled for November 14, 2014, at 35th District Court, 660 Plymouth Road, in Plymouth.
