Hello All!
Canton Club 55+ To Focus on Virtual Programming, Parking Lot Activities, and Make At Home Crafts As Canton Club 55+'s physical location remains closed until further notice, there are still plenty of fun and engaging programs and events happening this month online and outside the Summit on the Park. Our staff looks forward to welcoming everyone back again when we can provide recreational, educational, and health and wellness activities along with fun and exciting seasonal events and trips once the current climate is deemed safe to re-open.
For the foreseeable future, Canton Club 55+ will be offering programs that can be enjoyed virtually, on a computer, or over the phone. In addition, several outdoor programs may be available; weather permitting. These exciting new programs will focus on keeping individuals engaged, connected, and safe. Watch for programs to be rolled out over the next few weeks. Find additional details on the Canton Club 55+ Facebook page.

Looking For More ParticipantsWinter is here and this is the time of year when we all want to stay indoors where it is nice and cozy. These conditions make it the perfect time to join one of our virtual social groups. All programs are free and will help keep you connected with others in the community, while staying safe inside.
Friends and Film:This group will meet virtually every 2 weeks to discuss a predetermined show or film. It’s like a book club, but with no reading required. Just watch the selected show/film before the meeting date and be ready to discuss. Meetings will take place via Zoom and you can video chat or phone in using a landline. The group will decide what show/ film to watch. If you are interested in participating, please register online or over the phone. Activity Code: CB2916
Phone Pals Program:Would you like to make a difference in someone’s day? We are looking for individuals who wouldn’t mind talking on the phone or even texting another participant a minimum of once a week. Social isolation is one of the growing concerns among individuals during the winter, especially during the current circumstances. Let’s curve that trend and offer some interaction from afar. If you are interested please register online or over the phone. Activity Code: CB2917
