Canton Club 55+ Welcomes New Staff Member

Canton Club 55+ is pleased to announce that it has a new leader! On August 7th, Jenni Galazka joined the Club 55+ staff as its new senior adult specialist. Born and raised in Michigan, Jenni brings over six years of extensive experience working with active older adults. She remains focused on getting those 55 and older to be more active, engaged, and attentive to the total wellbeing of their minds, bodies, and spirits.

“I am humbled to have the privilege of working with seniors here in Canton and to start a new chapter in the history of Club 55+,” stated Jenni Galaska. “From what I’ve seen so far, Club 55+ is fortunate to have a wonderful staff, great facility, and dynamic members.” Jenni looks forward to meeting as many new members as soon as possible as she settles into her new position.

Club 55+ Annual Golf Outing

Thursday, September 23, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Don't miss the Annual Co-Ed Golf Outing at Fellows Creek Golf Club, located at 2936 S. Lotz Road in Canton. Join us for 18 rounds of golf, various competitions, lunch, and an awards ceremony. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams for the Men's, Co-Ed and Women's categories. Participants may sign up as a team (foursome), threesome, pair, or individual.

Wii Bowling Leagues are BACK!

Club 55+ welcomes participants back to the center to enjoy interactive Wii Bowling once again! Sign up as an individual, a pair, or as a team to compete against other teams. Adult Tennis - Save with FALL Pricing

Now thru October 8, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Looking to play tennis with others? Club 55+ reserves time at two local tennis courts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for our recreation tennis program. If all courts are full, players are rotated in. Participants are responsible for bringing their own racquets.

FALL Indoor Pickleball - COMING SOON!

As the weather transitions, Pickleball will move indoors to the Summit on the Park mid to late September; however, the Summit gymnasium is scheduled to undergo repairs some time in early September. Please check back with Club 55+ staff or refer to the Sports Calendar for the most up-to-date information as it becomes available.

Canton's 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 9 a.m. at the Heritage Park Amphitheater. This ceremony will be led by Canton Supervisor Anne Marie Graham-Hudak, who will also be joined by Canton Elected Officials and Board of Trustee members. In addition, this ceremony will feature the Canton Fire Department Honor Guard, remarks from Canton Public Safety staff, a musical tribute by Devyn Rae, a moment of silence, as well as comments from area organizations whose cultures have seen a recent rise in hate crimes.
Area residents are invited to attend Canton's Picnic in the Park on Friday, September 24 from 5-9 p.m. in Heritage Park. Plenty of festive food choices from area restaurants and food trucks, plus live music featuring popular artists on two stages, will be available leading up to the Big Fireworks Extravaganza that is scheduled to begin at dusk.
