All Canton seniors are invited to learn more about personal safety during this popular Canton Club 55+ program, which will be held on November 10 from 12-3 p.m. at the Summit on the Park.  Presented by Canton Public Safety, this free informative seminar will help you learn new techniques to keep you and your family safe. Speakers, interactive booths, lunch, and give-a-ways are just a few highlights of this event.  Pre-Registration is required to participate.

Canton Club 55+ Giving Tree

Now through December 3, 2021
Help us fill our tree now through December 3. Donations of new hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves will be collected for elementary aged children in the Canton Community. Your contribution will help us keep these kids warm this winter. Drop your donations off in the Club 55+ Office during business hours.

Kim Thrams is the first member to be featured in "Candid Conversations with Club 55+!"  Thank you, Kim, for allowing us to profile you.  

Kim leads an incredible life.  Kim was born in Vietnam and came to America in 1968. From there she proceeded to get married and have a family.  Kim is extremely proud of her 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren! Kim was married for 41 years and worked for 30 years at Sears Roebuck & Co, in the service department.  Kim’s fondest memory is when she returned with her family to Vietnam in February 2018 for two wonderful weeks and remembered the beautiful weather and visiting loved ones.  

Kim has been part of Club 55+ since 2008 and considers the Summit like her second home! You can find Kim participating in many activities at Club 55+ such as Billiards, Euchre and Mah-jongg.  Kim also has done volunteer work in Canton at the Summit on the Park, Village Theater and Liberty Fest!   

Some Fun Facts about Kim: 
Kim is an extremely talented artist (example on the right)
She likes attending summer festivals and concerts
Her favorite activities are baking and cooking new cuisine!  

Kim’s Motto to live by:  "I’m grateful for being in this country and thankful to have a wonderful family and strive to be kind and helpful to everyone”.

Salute to Service

Thursday, November 11
Village Theater at Cherry Hill
Canton will honor area service men and service women who have served or who are currently serving in the Armed Forces at our annual Salute To Service event at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill, located at 50400 Cherry Hill Road. Doors open for this free event at 6:00 p.m., with the stage presentation is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Book Discussion Group

Sponsored by the Canton Public Library. this group meets every 4th Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. Discussions will be led by the Information Services Librarians and will include a different book each month. Register with Club 55+. Upcoming books include:

Wii Bowling Leagues will be Back in January 2022!

There will be no Wii Bowling Leagues held during November and December. Please check back next month for league sign up information that will begin in January 2022!

Indoor Pickleball (Drop-In)

Pickleball is a mixture of tennis and badminton and is a great source of cardio. Please register at Club 55+ front desk and sign a medical waiver prior to your first time playing. Paddles are available to borrow at the Canton Club 55+ desk.
