Tickets are still available for  The Cashore Marionettes special engagement at Canton's Village Theater on Saturday, February 4 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.  Experience two amazing performances featuring this internationally acclaimed group, who take puppetry to the ultimate level. "Simple Gifts," is a family-friendly performance featuring a series of touching portrayals and poignant scenes from everyday life. Tickets are $12 each. "Life in Motion," features a portrayal of characters that is powerful, entertaining and a one-of-a-kind evening for adults and children ages 12 and older. Canton Farmers Market

Winter Farmers Markets Return and Kickoff New Healthy Food Connect: Canton Program For Seniors 55+

The first of three monthly Winter Markets will be held on Sunday, February 26 in the Summit on the Park's Banquet Lobby, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. Markets are also scheduled for March 19 and April 23 at the Summit; all with special winter market hours from 10 am - 2 pm. Over a dozen local vendors will be featured at the Market.

The Canton Farmers Market was recently awarded a grant to launch its Healthy Food Connect: Canton program to help better connect Canton area seniors to fresh, nutritious, local food. Interested seniors may schedule an orientation with the market staff to receive a one-on-one tour of the Farmers Market and information about the food assistance programs currently accepted at the markets. 

The first 300 participants to attend a scheduled orientation will receive $5 in Market Bucks to purchase eligible food products at the market.  Monthly drawings for prizes will also be held for those who attend the market, so be sure to check in with the market staff each time you attend! In addition, the Canton Farmers Market will have weekly cooking demonstrations.  Recipe cards will also be available so you can recreate each culinary masterpiece at home!
In addition, the Canton Farmers Market is partnering with Huron Valley Ambulance (HVA) to provide FREE transportation for qualifying individuals to and from our upcoming winter and regular season markets. Participants who qualify can schedule their transportation directly with HVA's Call Center during their business hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. by calling: 734/477-6404.

Heritage Park Pavilions

Canton Pavilion Online Rentals

It's not too early to think ahead to spring and summer!   Starting February 6, 2017 at 9 a.m., Canton Leisure Services will begin accepting online reservations from Canton residents for its open-air pavilions at Cantonfun.org.  Only online bookings from Canton residents will be accepted at this time.  Starting March 1 at 9 a.m., Canton residents may submit phone reservations by calling 734/394-5310, however online reservations are still encouraged.   Online or phone reservations for non-residents will be accepted starting March 28. Payment is due at time of reservation.  Rates and pavilion amenities be found here.  For additional information, call 734/394-5310.  

Camp & Class Registration Day

Wondering what to do with the kids this summer? Want to get them away from their electronics and have them experience new and exciting adventures? Camp and Class Registration Day is the perfect place to come and see what Canton Leisure Services has to offer. We will have several representatives from traditional summer camps to weekly camps to summer programming all in one place to answer all of your questions. Registration for most camps and classes begins at this special Registration Day and online at 10 a.m. on March 11. Mark your calendars!

Summit on the Park Indoor Triathlon

Summit Indoor Triathlon Returns

Registration is currently underway for the Third annual 'Conquer the Summit' Indoor Triathlon that is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 19 starting at 7 a.m.  Participants will complete a 10-minute heat in swimming, 30-minute heat in biking, and a 20-minute heat in running with 10-minute transition times between each event. Swimming will take place in the 25-yard lap pool.  Biking will be held on upright stationary bikes. Running will be done on treadmills. Participants must provide their own swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, biking and running clothing. Registration fees are: $35 for Summit Members; $40 for Canton residents; and $45 for non-residents. Youth Baseball and Softball Leagues

Greater Canton Youth Baseball and Softball Association (GCYBSA) will accept registration for its Spring 2017 now through March 15 for girls and boys ages 4-18. Programs include: Small Ball, T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Kid Pitch, and Girls Softball. Register online.  For additional information, email gcybsa@canton-mi.org.

BLOCK Summer Stay-Cation

Escape to The BLOCK Youth & Teen Center this summer and experience a summer vacation like none other.  Children ages 11-17 can take part in our summer program, which runs Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. This summer program mixes the right amount of hang out time with fun activities specifically designed for teens. Every Friday, we’ll whisk teens away on an adventure to some of the coolest spots around. Registration begins online March 11 at 10 a.m. Spots fill up fast, so register soon. Please note that no daily drop-ins will be available this summer.  Week rates are $126 for residents and $151 for non-residents. Pheasant Run Golf Club

Golf Leagues Now Forming

Pheasant Run’s golf leagues are now registering players for the 2017 season. League play starts in May and runs 15 weeks. Registration is currently underway. Each week two teams of two players will play 9 holes and rotate times to play in different groups.  Sign up today by calling 734/397-6460.
