Canton's 26th Annual Liberty Fest

Join us for three action-packed, fun-filled days when Canton's 26th Annual Liberty Fest returns to Heritage Park on Thursday, June 15 through Saturday, June 17.  in beautiful Heritage Park.  As always, entry into the festival grounds and parking are FREE! Canton’s largest community celebration continues its tradition of offering plenty of fabulous fun for all ages. Heritage Park is located behind the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road, just west of Canton Center Road between Cherry Hill and Summit Parkway.  

New this year!  Canton's Taste of Liberty Fest and the Adult Beverage Tent will be located near the Amphitheater.  Stop by the Taste of Liberty Fest for signature menu items from area restaurants from 5-10 p.m. on Thursday and 1-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday – sponsored by Twisted Rooster. Two stages of live entertainment and a variety of family-friendly activities will be held throughout the festival. Find all the fun details at www.cantonlibertyfest.com!
Carnival Armbands/Tickets
Discounted single-day wristbands are available for $22 and can be used for any full day if purchased online before June 15 at Noon. Wristbands will be available for purchase on-site for $25 on Thursday, $27 on Friday, and $30 on Saturday. Purchase a three-day all-ride Megaband for $60 – available ONLINE ONLY and must be purchased prior to June 15 at Noon.  Online sales require a $.99 per transaction fee. All sales are final.

Canton Liberty Run Returns
Lace up your sneakers and join us for the 6th annual Liberty Run 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Runs/Walks on Saturday, June 17. Leisure Services is once again teaming up with RF Events of Ann Arbor for this special fundraiser to benefit Canton trails. All races will start at the clock tower corner of Veterans Way and Civic Center Boulevard, located adjacent to the north end of the Canton Public Library parking lot. Participants are encouraged to run, walk or stroll the courses through neighborhood streets and the scenic Lower Rouge Trail. Race distances include a 5K race to begin at 8:00 a.m.; a 10K race to begin at 8:30 a.m.; and a One Mile Fun Run to begin at 10:15 a.m. Find all the fees and other details about at these Patriotic In Plaid runs/walks at www.cantonlibertyrun.com.

Liberty Fest Volunteer Opportunities

Lower Rouge Trail

Celebrate National Trails Day

Join us as Canton hits the trails at the Lower Rouge Trailhead, located at Michigan Avenue and Morton Taylor Road, as part of National Trails Day.  This American Hiking Society event will be held this Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Scheduled activities include: self-guided hiking along the beautiful Rouge River, educational displays and talks on outdoor photography, Leave No Trace principles, local wildlife and bird-watching, recycling information, trail biking and running details and a 'Make-It-Yourself' Trail-Mix station! Summit Beach Bash

Summit's Summer Beach Bash

Kick off your summer at the Summit Aquatic Center's Beach Bash, which will be held on Thursday, June 22 from 6-9 pm.  Enjoy swimming, games, prizes, and a supervised bonfire & s'mores station on the Summit patio. This event is free for Summit members and just $5 for Canton Residents and $10 for Non-Residents.  Don't forget your suit & towel.  Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian.  Register today! Shakespeare Festival

Michigan Shakespeare Festival Returns

The Village Theater at Cherry Hill is once again teaming up with the Michigan Shakespeare Festival to bring several special performances to Canton this summer.  From July 28 - August 13, the Michigan Shakespeare Festival will present its 2017 Season lineup at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill, located at 50400 Cherry Hill Road, Canton, MI, 49187. Yoga Instructor and Wounded Warrior Dan Nevins

Yoga In the Park Fundraiser Returns  

Join us for an inspirational outdoor yoga session on Saturday, July 22 at 9 a.m. in Heritage Park, which will be led by Dan Nevins, a nationally recognized Wounded Warrior featured on NBC News. All proceeds from this event, sponsored by Old Glory Flags and Flagpoles of Canton, MI and Canton Leisure Services, will go to benefit Wounded Warrior Project. Dan Nevins credits the practice of yoga for turning his life around after losing his both legs in Iraq. Join him for this special yoga session in Heritage Park.  Tickets are $35 online and will be $45 the day of the event. Ticket price includes a Wounded Warrior Project gift bag; while supplies last.
