A Delicious Experience: Learn to Make Pizza

Join us at Tony Sacco’s for a make and 
take workshop. Learn how the pizzas are made and get a chance to build your own creation. Participants will receive a chef’s

MOVIE "LION" Rated PG-13
Wednesday, October 11, 1:00 p.m.
Based on a real story about a five-year-old boy, Saroo, who gets lost on a train which takes him thousands of miles across India, away from his home and family. Saroo must learn to survive alone before being adopted by an Australian couple. 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family and finally return to his first home. Register by October 10. Happy Halloween Celebration

Celebrate Halloween with Canton Club 55+ in the Parkview room. All are welcome to come participate in Halloween Bingo and treat decorating. There will also be some Halloween themed treats available.  All those that come dressed in their favorite costume are entered to win a Fall Gift Basket. Halloween bingo begins at 10:15 a.m.

Nutritional – Congregate Meals
Lunch is served Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m.
at the Summit on the Park in the Oak Room.
No charge for ages 60 and older; a suggested donation of $3 is encouraged. There is a $5 fee for ages 60 and younger. Reservations are required by 12 p.m. the day prior; call 394-5485 ext. 1253. Menus available in the Parkview Room.

Matter of Balance Workshop
Thursdays, September 28- November 16
Help decrease your risk of falling. During this 8-week course you will learn:
- Stretching techniques to become more flexible and strength training exercises to strengthen muscles
- Balance exercises
- Tips for around the house on how to eliminate tripping hazards, and more.
Will accept participants until the 3rd week of class (Oct.12). Fee: FREE

Who Should You Trust? Learn How to Protect Yourself with Estate Planning
Wednesday, October 11, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
This is a FREE workshop facilitated by a Michigan-licensed lawyer who will be at the Summit on the Park to answer any questions you may have about estate planning. They will also discuss insurance scams, planning mistakes and more. Register by October 10. Fee: FREE

Taking Control of Your Financial Health

This 4-part interactive workshop series was designed by Wayne State University’s Institute of Gerontology and will be presented by a Wayne State staff member.
