Sled Library

Here’s a chance to borrow a sled any time when the snow accumulates from December 1 through March 31, 2024, for a spin down a small hill and then return it when you are done. The ‘Need a Sled – Use a Sled – Have Fun’ set-up is located on the east side of the Summit on the Park. A small sledding hill is adjacent that offers a quick little run next to the stand. Participants are asked to use caution for a safe experience when they borrow a sled, have fun, and then return it when done! Holidays in Heritage Park

Enjoy a seasonal lighted walk around the pond in Heritage Park when this holiday tradition returns! Visitors to Canton’s Heritage Park can once again experience seasonal light displays and festive decorations set up around the scenic large pond during Holidays in Heritage Park from December 1-31, 2023. Area residents are invited to stroll through the park with family and friends while viewing holiday lights, featuring: reindeer, snowflakes, elves, and more!

Santa Breakfast

Bring the entire family to enjoy a wonderful plated and served breakfast with Santa Claus! During the breakfast, kids can share their wish list with Santa, create a winter craft, and enjoy a Christmas story time. All children will receive a holiday souvenir, crayons, and a placemat. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Summit on the Park or online. Christmas in the Village

Join us on December 2nd as the Village Arts Factory is transformed into a Winter Wonderland and Christmas Market. Enjoy a delicious meal from a variety of food trucks and festival vendors, browse the beautiful art and gifts for sale from local artisans and craftsmen, listen to the sweet sounds of carolers and live musicians, take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorate holiday cookies with your kids, delight in the live animal petting zoo, and sip hot cocoa as you stroll the balsam-scented greens market. This will be a magical holiday event for the whole family. We hope to see you there! Date: December 2 Time: 3 pm to 8 pm Location: Village Arts Factory Fee: Free

Story Time with Mrs. Claus

Your favorite Mrs. is coming to town to read you a classic holiday tale. Don’t wait, secure your spot for story time with Mrs. Claus today. This lovely lady is only in town for one night before she hustles back to the North Pole to help Santa and the elves prepare for the big day. This event will feature cookie decorating, a hot cocoa bar, and an interactive read-aloud story by Mrs. Claus, herself! Pre-registration is required. If your submission is selected as one of our winners, Santa will be escorted by Canton Public Safety down your street to visit you and your neighbors! The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) of Wayne County is a supplemental food assistance program for eligible low-income individuals and families. Food products are distributed once a month at the Summit on the Park, 46000 Summit Parkway. If you are in need of assistance, or would like more information, please call 734/394-5185. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
